Diamond-Ariya Mazie, MFT Intern
Individual, Couples and Family Therapist
Marriage and Family Therapist Intern
Welcome to the practice. I’m Diamond and I assist individuals aged 13 and up, couples, and families one-on-one and in groups on romantic relationship problems, fractured parent-child relationships, work-related problems, communication issues, depression, anxiety, and through other life transitions. If you are in need of a skilled, resourceful, budget-friendly provider then I am your person.

My professional experience as a career coach has equipped me with a variety of tools that help people show up differently to face challenges that threaten their joy and livelihood. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Howard University and am currently completing my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Syracuse University. Whether you’re working on improving your daily functioning or the health and strength of another relationship, I’m here to support you. My role is to walk alongside you—helping you
uncover patterns, understand yourself and your relationships, and teach you new ways to move forward with confidence.

I use a variety of approaches to meet each person’s unique needs, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, Bowen Family Systems, Solution Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. I also draw from cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness-based, and attachment-based techniques. I take extensive family and relationship history to understand how your past may be influencing your experiences today. I believe that therapy works best when it feels like a safe, judgment-free space, and I aim to provide that for each person I serve.
I offer separate 12-week virtual relationship readiness groups for adolescents and adults who want to prepare for healthy romantic love. These low cost groups are for individuals and couples who are interested in breaking unhealthy relationship patterns, healing from negative relationship experiences, or are trying to be proactive with your approach to love and romantic relationships. Inquire about them or register for the next session.

I am grateful for the opportunity to do this work and honored to be part of your growth journey.

Scheduling and Communication
Clients may schedule appointments through our online scheduling portal or by contacting our administrative team by phone. Once an appointment is confirmed, a confirmation email will be sent to the email address on file. This email will include the telehealth session link and any required intake or consent forms. As a courtesy, reminder emails containing the telehealth link will be sent 48 hours and 24 hours before the scheduled session, along with an additional text reminder to the phone number on file.

If an appointment is rescheduled or the time is changed, a new confirmation email with a unique telehealth link will be sent. Previous telehealth links become invalid and should be discarded, as each session requires its own secure, session-specific link.
