Weena Wise is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LCMFT) and relationship expert with over 15 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families achieve the personal and relationship results they desire. She is the co-host of the Marketing Pulpit Radio Show on Radio One 95.9FM/1450AM (DC) every 3rd Friday from 10:30-11:30am EST and was formerly the weekly guest relationship expert for WPGC's Pablo Morning Show, one of the highest ranked radio shows in the D.C. Metropolitan area with over 270,000 listeners. Her clinical advice is currently featured in over 15 mainstream media publications, such as NBC News, Huffington Post, MSN, Insider, Redbook, Nasdaq, Brides, and Bustle. As a licensed therapist, writer, and public speaker, Weena has gained the reputation of being an authority on relationship repair.
Shortly after opening her practice, she quickly made the list of honorees for “Who’s Who among Female Therapists”. She has co-authored a research article on couples communication and worked as an adjunct professor and clinical supervisor at the University of Maryland at College Park, where she obtained her graduate degree. She is also a featured author in “My Soul to His Spirit: Soulful Expressions from Black Daughters to their Fathers”.
Weena speaks to local, national, and international audiences about relationships, money matters, parenting, and the role of spirituality in achieving your personal goals. In October of 2017 She was asked to be a featured speaker at an International Women’s Conference in Western Kenya. While there, Weena was able to inspire both men and women as well as help to fund several projects to help underserved families in the community.
Weena has intensive clinical training in working with trauma survivors and enjoys using empirically validated treatment modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and emotion-focused therapy with clients. Local community involvement and educating young boys and girls is also a personal passion. Weena serves as a moderator/facilitator for community-based panel discussions sponsored by local nonprofit organizations and teaches fun and engaging etiquette classes for children ages 6-18, helping youth prepare for formal experiences like cotillions, proms, banquets and interviews, etc. Interested in having Weena present for one of your groups, programs, or trainings? SPH Alum Goes On-Air to Counsel Radio Host and Listeners

Family Science alumna Weena Wise ('05), a licensed clinical marriage and family therapist, was featured in Terp Magazine's Winter 2015 edition for her regular on-air marriage counseling appearances with D.C. radio personality Pablo Sato.
Cullins completed her M.S. in couple and family therapy, and now runs a couples-based therapy practice in Upper Marlboro, Md. She joined Pablo Sato's radio show on WPGC 95.5 in 2014, helping the host and his then-fiancee work through everyday relationship hurdles in the studio, as well as listeners who called in with their own relationship concerns.
